Côte dIvoire, or Ivory Coast's national flag, was adopted on December 3, 1959. Three vertical stripes are orange (left), white (middle), and green (right). The savannas and the north are characterized as orange; peace and unity among different people are represented in white, while forests, which are found in the south of the country, are represented in green.
