Emblem of United Kingdom

Union Jack, or simply The United Kingdom (UK) flag, is the official flag of this country and its people. These three flags are merged to form one – red crosses from Saint George for England, white saltires for Saint Andrew for Scotland, and red saltires for Saint Patrick for Ireland. The history of the design of the UK flag goes back to 1606 when King James VI of Scotland became King James I of England. He wanted one flag with the symbols from all three countries combined to show the unity and strength of the three countries. The colors for the UK flag are red, white and blue in bold. Bravery, military Courage, peace, and honesty are represented by the white on the flag, and Courage, peace, honesty, loyalty and trust are represented by the Blue. In contrast, the Red represents Bravery, Courage, loyalty, and trust.
