The regional organization known as the Central American Integration System includes eight countries from Central America. Formed on December 13, 1991, it is aimed at the completion of its members' economic, social and political integration. At the same time, the Central American Integration System flag is blue with four white triangles on its background, which are allegoric to the four member states, namely Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua. In the middle of the area is a green emblem that stands for wealth and peace.
