Emblem of Andorra

The history of the flag of Andorra is that it is a small landlocked country between the Pyrenees Mountains and France and Spain. On August 24, 1911, the current design was adopted, but it wasn't until 1993 that Andorra became an independent state. There are three vertical stripes comprising a flag with the lower left stripe blue, the onia yellow, and the right stripe red. Andorra's coat of arms is made up of four red quarters with golden oak trees in the center of the yellow stripe. This flag continues to represent Andorra's independence and its close ties with both France and Spain.
