Eswatini adopted its national flag on October 30, 1967. The flag is comprised of three horizontal bands in blue, yellow, and red, with a black and white shield and spears in the center. The yellow band represents minerals and other natural resources, and the blue band represents peace and stability within the country. The red band represents past Eswati struggles for freedom and self-determination. The black and white shield and spear means for the country and its people.
