Honduras flag are blue on top, white in the center, and blue on the bottom. Five blue stars are present in an X shape in the center of the white stripe. The two blue stripes are meant to signify the Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea that border with Honduras. The white stripe is a symbol of peace and prosperity. The five stars symbolize the five original Central American countries (Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, and Honduras) that had established a union in 1821 as a federation. The X also symbolizes unity among these nations.
