The Guyanese flag has five additional horizontal stripes: red on top, yellow within the center, white beneath that, golden yellow over the lowest white stripe, and green on the bottom. A black triangle is reserved in the middle of the flag, and it stands to the hoist side. Red stands for its zeal and dynamism; yellow for its mineral wealth. Its white represents its rivers and water resources, and yellow represents its abundant sunshine. The stands for agriculture and forests are indicated in green. The black triangle is the struggle and complex that we overcome.
