Flag of Nepal

It is the only nonrectangular national flag in the world. It is two pennants joined by a blue border on three sides. The pennant that tops it is red with a white emblem of a crescent moon and sun, which was that of Hinduism and Buddhism, respectively. The hope for a long life is symbolized by a white emblem of the moon and sun on a blue bottom pennant. The blue border represents the fact that these two religions are at peace with each other.
