Flag Detail
Three parallel strips of green, yellow, and red make up Guinea-Bissau's national flag. The central white circle of the flag features a black star. The red stripe represents the carnage of Guinea-Bissau's fight for freedom from Portuguese rule. Yellow for its mineral abundance and lots of sunlight. Its green stands for fertile land and agriculture. Regarding African expats, the white circle stands for harmony and the black star for freedom and unification in Africa.
